M HKA gaat digitaal

Met M HKA Ensembles zetten we onze eerste échte stappen in het digitale landschap. Ons doel is met behulp van nieuwe media de kunstwerken nog beter te kaderen dan we tot nu toe hebben kunnen doen.

We geven momenteel prioriteit aan smartphones en tablets, m.a.w. de in-museum-ervaring. Maar we zijn evenzeer hard aan het werk aan een veelzijdige desktop-versie. Tot het zover is vind je hier deze tussenversie.

M HKA goes digital

Embracing the possibilities of new media, M HKA is making a particular effort to share its knowledge and give art the framework it deserves.

We are currently focusing on the experience in the museum with this application for smartphones and tablets. In the future this will also lead to a versatile desktop version, which is now still in its construction phase.

"Sèrie emisiò-recepciò. Collecciò de deu postals" are ten postcards serie that Antoni Muntadas recieved from different people arround the world. Postcards that are turned again in usefull postcard by changing the cycle emision-reception. Arround the 70`s, the Mail Art constituted an alternative circuit based on using the postcard system as an artistic support, the head of the movement was Fluxus group. In 1975, a new iniciative, based on this idea, was started in Catalonia (Spain) by Llibres del Mall publications. Some catalans artist like Joan Brossa, Antoni Tàpies or Miralda collaborated in this project that called Art Enllà. Among themselves, Muntadas was also part of the group. The postcards were sold by monthly subscriptions in kiosks or bookshops.Box with ten postcards. The box is labelled 'Muntadas '76', the front of each of the postcards show the backside of ten different postcards that were adressed to Antoni Muntadas.
