M HKA gaat digitaal

M HKA goes digital

Embracing the possibilities of new media, M HKA is making a particular effort to share its knowledge and give art the framework it deserves.

We are currently focusing on the experience in the museum with this application for smartphones and tablets. In the future this will also lead to a versatile desktop version, which is now still in its construction phase.

In 1972, at the height of the so-called Ping Pong diplomacy, the rapprochement between China (Mao Zedong) and the United States (Richard Nixon), Philippe Van Snick creates his work Ping Pong.  For Ping Pong Revisited (2017), Van Snick uses his ten-color palette as well as the contrast between day and night - themes that were not yet present in his oeuvre at the time - to update the 1970's work.
