La collection du M HKA ne cesse de s’élargir. Avec Acquistions récentes, le M HKA a montré les acquisitions qui ont complétées la collection. Lors de l’acquisition de nouvelles œuvres d’art, on mise sur la tradition d’avant-garde à Anvers à partir des années 1960, le monde multipolaire actuel, l’intérêt de l’aspect ‘performatif’ et l’engagement social de l’art contemporain. La nature et le rôle que les images ont aujourd’hui, sont également un élément important. Des œuvres d’art importantes, tant d’artistes nationaux que d’artistes africains, asiatiques et de l’Amérique du Nord et du Sud ont été ajoutées à notre collection au cours des dernières années.
A travers ARTtube, le canal vidéo en ligne de 15 musées belges et néerlandais, nous avons également donné la parole à certains artistes de base faisant partie de l’exposition. Les vidéos nous font comprendre le processus artistique d’artistes d’envergure.
Acquisitions récentes a fait un aperçu de la collection du M HKA, qui se développe toujours autour de trois piliers fondamentaux : l’image, l’action et la société.
