Sara Sejin Chang (Sara van der Heide)’s artistic practice spans different formats including film, immersive installations, performances, painting and writing. She combines spiritual evocations, historical research and the unraveling of colonial narratives, creating works that act as historical repair, healing and belonging, questioning Eurocentric systems of categorisation and racialisation together with their penetration into all levels of life.
