Muntadas a la virreina is an story about installations, passages and interventions by Muntadas. It is a catalogue about an exhibition held at Palau de la Virreina between the 19th of September at the 6th November 1988 (Spain). As if he were a new Baudelaire, this publications shows the special walker vocation in Muntadas works, opening the private places arround the Virreina Palace enviroment. He pretends a reflexion about the duality between a public place, the cultural area inside Barcelona City Hall, and the places that are not accessible to the public inside the same institutional complex. It is worth mentioning the Passage project, that is a study collection of the different typological architectonics inside the urban space, but Muntadas is not only been satisfied by the perception aspects, these usual and repeated archetypes are a history document about the town, Barcelona, and they are been already become in a collective memory symbol.
