M HKA gaat digitaal

M HKA goes digital

Embracing the possibilities of new media, M HKA is making a particular effort to share its knowledge and give art the framework it deserves.

We are currently focusing on the experience in the museum with this application for smartphones and tablets. In the future this will also lead to a versatile desktop version, which is now still in its construction phase.

Collection: Collection M HKA, Antwerp.

"The Quest" Variations on a Theme may be read as a safari-project through the reserve of the artist's archives.  This grey book treats this quest mainly through images of Honoré ðO’s exhibition during the Venice Biennale and an exhibition in Charleroi.  The accompanying projects are sketched at the front and back of the book, and in the middle are found series of video-stills.

Within the volume “The Quest” variations on the theme, a DVD sits hidden: Osmose.  While a book is usually a matter of documentation, this video is pure artistic 'information'.  Here, Honoré ðO is fragmented in the key of blue - with the artist completely dissolving in a mix of blue heaven.

Authors: Honoré ðO, Dieter Roelstraete, Pierre-Olivier Rollin, Inge Braeckman, Bart De Baere.  Publisher: Honoré ðO (Belgium). Accompanying material: DVD 'Osmose'.  Texts: Dutch, English, Korean. ISBN 90-811078-1-X

Hardcover in grey with black letters.  Around the book, a construction of grey tubes.  Inside, texts in English, Dutch and Korean, and photos of the artist's participation at the 2005 Venice Biennale, and his projects in Charleroi and Korea.  This book was presented at the M HKA in 2007.
