M HKA gaat digitaal

M HKA goes digital

Embracing the possibilities of new media, M HKA is making a particular effort to share its knowledge and give art the framework it deserves.

We are currently focusing on the experience in the museum with this application for smartphones and tablets. In the future this will also lead to a versatile desktop version, which is now still in its construction phase.

(Anekdotomania. Daniel Spoerri über Daniel Spoerri , 2001)

The Auto-Theatre consists of a cylinder that spins texts with instructions while moving metal plates distort the mirror-image of visitors as they read. The aim is to stimulate reactions, to encourage spectators out of their passive role. What you see in the exhibition is a remake of the installation from 1959. M HKA could achieve this under the guidance of Daniel Spoerri.
