M HKA gaat digitaal

M HKA goes digital

Embracing the possibilities of new media, M HKA is making a particular effort to share its knowledge and give art the framework it deserves.

We are currently focusing on the experience in the museum with this application for smartphones and tablets. In the future this will also lead to a versatile desktop version, which is now still in its construction phase.

The series Mad Marginal Charts emerged from a conversation between Dora García and curator Guillaume Désanges. He pointed out that only a small part of her research and practice was visible in her exhibited work. García started to draw diagrams connecting different parts and paths of the work, first on notepads, then on walls. Now drawings are an important part of her practice, as a tool to render visible her research and the connections established in this it.
