M HKA gaat digitaal

M HKA goes digital

Embracing the possibilities of new media, M HKA is making a particular effort to share its knowledge and give art the framework it deserves.

We are currently focusing on the experience in the museum with this application for smartphones and tablets. In the future this will also lead to a versatile desktop version, which is now still in its construction phase.

Literary synopsis

N.V. De Wunderbaum is a rewriting of the Russian writer Nikolay Gogol's satirical story entitled The Nose (1835), in which one of the characters loses his nose and starts to lead a life of its own. With this bizarre story, in which the writer never really explains the true facts of this phenomenon, Gogol responded to the principles of the readers, who like to read absurd stories, but still long for a logical explanation.

Authorship: Appropriation/Collage.

Creative Strategy: Rewriting Existing Novel .

Genre: Absurdist.
