M HKA gaat digitaal

M HKA goes digital

Embracing the possibilities of new media, M HKA is making a particular effort to share its knowledge and give art the framework it deserves.

We are currently focusing on the experience in the museum with this application for smartphones and tablets. In the future this will also lead to a versatile desktop version, which is now still in its construction phase.

Literary synopsis

On the shortest winter day of the penultimate year of the twentieth century, Calixte Macquaire, viscount and seventh Lord of Heirne and Ommelanden, leaves his home in the dilapidated Zurkelsteeg, to embark on a shameful beggar's journey that takes him to his mother, the unapproachably evil Valentine Talloen. What announces itself as a brief sojourn at the ancestral castle, soon takes on the appearance of an everlasting dolage, even with the sudden appearance of Dwan, a most charming, big-man-selling, undersized person, that accompanies the viscount through time and space and thus promotes him to witness numerous wondrous affairs lurking in the dark. Questioning himself what binds him so inseparably to the goblin female and how it is that he is not enabled to return to Zurkelsteeg and to his only love, his little peach of a wife, Poetie, touches the seventh Lord of Heirne farther from home and closer to his ultimate destiny.
