This image shows Mol himself at work. He appears on the photographic paper without a discernable face and in a rather awkward position, similar to that of a body diving into water, although the surroundings would make us assume something different. It is as if he has become a curve in a scientific diagram. Our first reaction as viewers might be to ask if this photograph was even possible to make without manipulation, but then we notice the elements that support Mol’s body. He never uses montage to achieve his photographs, which are always ‘true’.
