Andrés’ series Donde nada ocurre (Where Nothing Happens), 2012–2016, is a history of abandoned nightclubs and party venues in Ibiza. Focusing on five specific clubs—Festival Club, Idea, Heaven, Toro Mar and Glory´s—she has developed different projects for each of these ruins. For example, the club Toro Mar, which was originally constructed as a bull fighting school, was transformed into a night club to take advantage of the boom in leisure activity on Ibiza. They began to build a dome to house a new dance floor, but then scrapped and demolished it as the owners didn’t possess a construction license, as well as being too close to a protected area of nature. After the business faltered, it became a venue for illegal rave parties held under the night sky, below the flight of the birds that nest in the surrounding nature park.
