M HKA gaat digitaal

M HKA goes digital

Embracing the possibilities of new media, M HKA is making a particular effort to share its knowledge and give art the framework it deserves.

We are currently focusing on the experience in the museum with this application for smartphones and tablets. In the future this will also lead to a versatile desktop version, which is now still in its construction phase.

Literary synopsis

Jacques Verdier, a 28 years-old artist, committs suicide at his home. He leaves a letter to the attention of the Commissioner, which tells the story of his disastrous life. Well in spite of himself, the deceased suffered since his childhood an appalling series of fatal accidents: heart attacks, falls, poisonings and burns proliferated around him until the nagging question of his own liability drives him to consider a radical solution. Jacques had in him, he believed, a 'fatal power', a 'principle of death'.
