Herinnering aan een reis (A Journey Remembered) is a playful piece, where the title suggests an autobiographical (travel) experience. Here the Schietekat twins present an everyday bicycle as a sacred art object, by placing it within a custom-made housing of veneered wood. This 'shell' underscores the cultural value of the object, but immediately undermines it an ironic way.
