M HKA gaat digitaal

M HKA goes digital

Embracing the possibilities of new media, M HKA is making a particular effort to share its knowledge and give art the framework it deserves.

We are currently focusing on the experience in the museum with this application for smartphones and tablets. In the future this will also lead to a versatile desktop version, which is now still in its construction phase.

Exhibition: Guy Mees - Video and Movies – The Collection - A Suggestion

MUHKA, Antwerpen

02 March 2002 - 12 May 2002

The work of Guy Mees (°1935, Mechelen) is positioned between the poles of painting, sculpture and installation. At the end of the Sixties and the beginning of the Seventies, the artist also experimented with film and video, in which a number of principles from his other work were pursued. (programme Bart De Baere)

Examples are the use of seriality, standardisation, classification and variation. This presentation shows the audio-visual work which the M HKA acquired; in the autumn there will be a wider-based exhibition, which will be interwoven with a collection presentation.
