° 1954
Born in Newcastle (GB), lives in Antwerp (BE).
Perry Roberts (°1954, United Kingdom) obtained his master's degree in fine arts at Goldsmiths' College, London, in 1989. He has been living and working in Antwerp since 1995. His artistic practice covers a wide range of fields: abstract drawing and painting, architectural interventions in public spaces, language-typographic murals and furniture design. All of these disciplines are independent of each other, but the artist approaches them with equal care and a purified individuality. His work has evolved over many years and manifests itself in different media, but consistently explores the relationship between abstraction, architecture and language, resulting in a particularly divergent body of work with an enigmatic depth.
