Died in Sint-Agatha-Berchem (Belgium), born in Drogenbos (Belgium).
Moves from Brabantine fauvism to evolve towards geometric abstraction around 1919. In the 1920s paints a series of cycles, like ‘Genesis’, where the particular works are characterized by diagonal division of planes and a luminous center. The autonomous colors and the constructivist composition seem laden with symbols, this against a background of near-mystical identification with Nature.
