In 1971, Panamarenko returns to the P.A.T. theme in the design for Stepstraal. The device consists of a tubular frame to which two propeller-motors are attached, and has two foot-supports for the pilot, who during flight remains standing upright. The drawing again shows a hydrogen-peroxide fueled rocket. When the fluid is expelled under high pressure, two 'streams' are visible behind the pilot.
'The name 'Stepstraal' is really a combination to indicate 'stepping on' and 'jetting-away'...' - Panamarenko
