M HKA gaat digitaal

M HKA goes digital

Embracing the possibilities of new media, M HKA is making a particular effort to share its knowledge and give art the framework it deserves.

We are currently focusing on the experience in the museum with this application for smartphones and tablets. In the future this will also lead to a versatile desktop version, which is now still in its construction phase.

Literary synopsis

An art student returns to her family home on the countryside in order to ask her father to participate in an art project. She experiences once more the gap between her new life and the way of life back there.

Relation of the novel to the artist’s practice

There are many works of Jannie Regnerus described within this novel, for example, Pennenzaaier: a project in which a farmer is sowing ballpoints in order to grow stories instead of potatoes. On the other hand, a number of Regnerus’ art projects stem from the novel, like Cloudman: an installation of a projection, a marble sculpture and text on the walls, coming from De ent (page 72).
