JLB: 'It says, “Byars at the Met… invisibly.”'

DS: "Beautiful. What year was that?"

JLB: "1971"

DS: "And this goes in envelope?"

JLB: "Yes, if you like. What was wonderful about it was that I was wearing a red satin and I had North-South make a big bamboo pole so I looked like twenty-one feet tall and had a ball on the top with a red veil and high heels, and I could run in front of the Met like that, chasing the public, giving them invisibility."
